Emory senior Tamara Surtees helped the No. 31-ranked women's
cross country team to a first-place finish out of 17 squads in the
Division II, III and NAIA race at the Furman Classic.
Surtees finished first in the 152-runner field, clocking a 6K time
of 22:20 that represented her second-fastest time as an Eagle.
Her effort helped Emory claim three of the top six
individual finishers at the competition.
