Junior Marissa Gogniat led the Emory women's cross country team
to a first-place finish at the season-opening Berry
Invitational.
Gogniat, a two-time All-South/Southeast Region performer, paced
the Eagles' contingent and finished second overall out of 49

spearheaded a strong overall showing by Emory with the squad
claiming the Nos. 2-7 finishes.
Emory wound up the meet with 20 points, well ahead of SCAD
Savannah's runner-up total of 51 points. Host Berry College
was third (68 pts.) and LaGrange College was fourth (120
