In her inaugural season with the team, Scherrer proved herself an indispensable member of the Eagles program… She competed in six events, scoring in all six and placing no lower than third for Emory in any of the meets… Scherrer’s best performance of the season came at the NCAA DIII Championships where she matched her season-best time of 22:45 to place third for the Eagles and 150th overall… Scherrer earned All-Region acclaim when she placed fifth overall at the NCAA South Regional Championship crossing the finish line in 22:52… Scherrer matched her season-best time early in the season at the Converse Kickoff when she finished in 10th place out of 208 runners with a time of 22:45… Came in second for the Eagles and 18th overall at the UAA Championships (23:51)… Placed second overall at the 5,760m Emory vs. Oglethorpe Dual Meet with a time of 22:45… Also competed at the 5k Louisville Sports Commission Classic where she came in 31st overall and second for Emory with a time of 23:08… Named a 2021 USTFCCCA Academic All-American.
