Senior (2015):

Lake, a D3baseball.com Preseason All-America First Team selection, started 40 games for the Eagles, batting to a tune of a .360 (58-for-161) average. He was third on the team with 17 multi-hit games and ranked second with 11 doubles, 16 stolen bases and a .441 slugging percentage. Lake was named to the NCAA South Regional All-Tournament Team after batting a team-high .476 during the regional. He led the squad with 10 hits and stolen bases during the five regional contests. Lake was also named the UAA Hitter of the Week twice during the season on March 2^nd and May 26^th. He reached the 200 career hits plateau during the season and finished his career tied for eighth all-time with 213.

Junior (2014):

Lake recorded one of the best offensive seasons in the program’s history in 2014, leading the country and setting the program’s single-season record with 69 runs batted in.  He was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-America Second Team, marking the 12^th time overall and first time since 2007 that an Eagle has been selected as an ABCA All-American.  He also became the second D3Baseball.com All-American in Emory history, while claiming spots on the ABCA and D3Baseball.com All-South Region First Teams.  Lake was named the co-Most Valuable Player of the University Athletic Association (UAA), along with Andrew Gronski of Case Western Reserve University, and earned all-conference first team and all-conference tournament as well.  He started all 51 games, recording 86 hits, one behind the program-single season record and second among D-III players in 2014, scoring 54 runs (tied for sixth in school history), and leading the squad with a .417 batting average (the 12^th-highest ever by an Eagle).  He added 13 doubles, two triples and four home runs, leading all Emory players with a .558 slugging percentage, and walked 28 times to raise his on base percentage to .483.  On the base paths, he stole 13 bases on 18 attempts.  The right-handed batter was a .451 (23-for-51) hitter against left-handed pitching, hit .500 (42-for-84) with runners in scoring position, and drove in a runner from third base with less than two outs in an incredible 87% of his opportunities (20-for-23).  Lake recorded a 22-game hitting streak, from his final game of the 2013 season to March 15^th, 2014, the fourth-longest hitting streak in the program’s history.  He led the team with 30 multiple hit games and 20 multiple RBI games, including a five-for-five performance with a home run and four RBIs against DePauw University on March 22^nd.  He reached base safely in all but four Emory games, and hit safely in all but five contests.  Lake was selected as the UAA Athlete of the Week on February 10^th and March 10^th, named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week twice, and was chosen to the Jewish Sports Review All-America First Team.

Sophomore (2013):

Despite seeing his action in 2013 limited to 13 games and 11 starts due to injury, Lake turned in a successful campaign, finishing the year with a .341 batting average, eight runs scored, two doubles, seven RBIs and four stolen bases on as many attempts.  During the year, he hit .345 (10-for-29) against righties and .368 (seven-for-19) with runners in scoring position.  After missing over a month of action, the sophomore made a pinch hitting appearance against Oglethorpe on April 16^th, driving in the game-winning run with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10^th inning.  He went three-for-three with a double, three RBIs, two walks and two stolen bases (all season highs) against Maryville on February 26^th.

Freshman (2012):

Hitting out of the leadoff spot the majority of the season, Lake emerged as one of Emory's top offensive threats, batting .337 with 40 runs scored, one home run and 19 runs batted in.  His 55 hits led all Eagles during the season, and his 25 stolen bases were not only the best on the squad, but also the 37th-most by a Division III player in 2012 and 12th-most in a single season in the program's history.  Lake started all 39 games he played in during the season, and his 18 multiple-hit games were the most on the team.  He recorded a 10-game hitting streak, the second-longest by an Eagle in 2012, from February 29th through March 15th, and picked up multiple hits in 10 of 11 games from March 24th through April 19th.  Lake registered four-hit games against Denison University on March 2nd and Piedmont College on March 31st, and drove in a season-best three runs on March 25th at Huntingdon College.  He hit his first career home run on April 19th against Oglethorpe University.  During the University Athletic Association (UAA) Tournament, Lake set a conference record with 11 stolen bases on as many attempts during the eight games, and was tied for the tournament lead with 10 runs scored.  The right fielder added four outfield assists during the campaign.

Prior to Emory:

Played for the Campbell Hall High School baseball team for four seasons, serving as the team captain during his senior year... Helped his squad to an Olympic League Championship during his sophomore year and an Alpha League Championship his senior year... All-Alpha League First Team and All-CIF Second Team during his senior year... Coached by Juan Velazquez.
