#10/11 Emory Baseball Drop Series Opener at WashU

Washington's Brad Margolin pitched an absolute gem Friday afternoon as the Emory University Baseball team fell, 3-0, in the opening game of the four-game weekend series in St. Louis, MO.

Margolin went the distance, allowing just one hit with nine strikeouts to record the complete game shutout over the Eagles. With the win, he improved to 5-0 on the year.

Junior Nick Chambers broke up Margolin's no-hit bid with a two out single to center to record Emory's lone hit of the contest.

Sophomore Billy Dimlow was the hard luck loser in the game as dropped his first decision of the season. Dimlow went seven innings, giving up three runs (2 ER) on eight hits and one walk. He struck out four.

The Bears and Eagles continue their four-game set tomorrow afternoon with a doubleheader, beginning at 1:00 PM EST.
