Freshman (2012):

Hannigan became the first Emory freshman to start a game in goal since Derek Marinatos did so as a red shirt in 1995, and the first true freshman to start in goal since Briam Smith in 1991.  Taking over the starting goalkeeper duties seven games into the campaign and holding it the rest of the way, Hannigan finished the year with a 9-4-1 overall record, recording a 1.29 goals-against average and a .620 save percentage.  Two of his three shutouts in 2012 came in key conference games at the end of the season, with a pair of 1-0 wins over New York University and Carnegie Mellon University in back-to-back weeks.  Hannigan recorded a career-best seven saves in his starting debut at Berry College on September 15th, and finished the year with 31 saves.

Played on the Hendrick Hudson High School team for four seasons, serving as the team captain during his senior year... Earned all-section honors during his junior and senior campaigns... Was coached in high school by Chris Cassidy.. Was played club soccer for FC Westchester, where he was coached by Eddie Quiroga.

Born September 2nd, 1994... Was selected to his high school's honor roll... Also played lacrosse in high school.
