Khattab, Hardington Score as Men's Soccer Wins Fourth Straight

The Emory University men's soccer team won its fourth straight contest on Sunday afternoon, defeating Millsaps College 2-0 to improve to 5-3-1 on the season.

The defense picked up right where it left off in the previous two games, limiting Millsaps to just seven shots in the game with one being on goal. Senior Abe Hannigan played all 90 minutes in goal and made his lone save in the contest in the last minute of play to pick up his third consecutive shutout and the 21st in his four-year career. The 21 clean sheets ties him for the all-time program record held by Larry Meyer (1984-86).

Freshman Moustafa Khattab's first career goal was the difference in this one with the rookie finding the back of the net off a Jason Andrejchak pass in the 53rd minute. Senior Sebastian Hardington added an insurance goal for the Eagles in the 88th minute, scoring his team-leading fourth goal on the year.

Emory will look to continue its winning streak next Saturday as the team begins the UAA portion of the schedule. The Eagles will face the University of Chicago with the opening kickoff scheduled for 2:30pm EST.
