The Emory University women's tennis team concluded its opening tournament of the season on Sunday, the Atlanta Classic, hosted by Georgia State University in Piedmont Park.

Highlighting singles play on the final day were wins by freshmen Marissa Levine and Madison Gordon.  Levine defeated Taylor Hollander of the University of North Florida in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.  Gordon claimed a 6-3, 6-1 win over sophomore teammate Catharine Harris.

In doubles action, Emory's lone win of the day came from freshmen Stephanie Loutsenko and Annette Sullivan, who defeated teammates Harris and sophomore Danielle Truitt 8-4.

Next up for the Eagles will be the ITA Regional Tournament, hosted by Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama.  Play at the ITA Tournament will begin on Friday, September 21^st, and run through Sunday, September 23^rd.
