Four Eagles Chosen to UAA All-Tournament Team; Bridget Harding Named Tournament MVP

Following the team's fifth consecutive University Athletic Association championship and the 28th overall in program history, four members of the No.-1 ranked Emory University Women's Tennis team have been selected to the UAA All-Tournament team.

Highlighting the four Eagles chosen to the All-Tournament team was junior Bridget Harding, who garnered the Most Valuable Player award. Harding went 3-0 at first singles and 3-0 at first doubles during the tournament and defeated University of Chicago's Ariana Iranpour 3-6, 6-0, 6-3 to win the championship point for Emory. In addition, Harding earned a spot on the UAA All-Tournament First Team for both singles and doubles.

Joining Harding with First Team honors in both singles and doubles was senior Katarina Su. The Alpharetta, GA native was an unblemished 3-0 at both fourth singles and first doubles including a straight set 6-3, 6-0 victory over UC's Tiffany Chen in the championship match.

Sophomore Daniela Lopez and senior Melissa Goodman round out the Eagles selected to the UAA All-Tournament team, earning First Team honors at third and fifth singles, respectively. Lopez and Goodman both posted 3-0 records during competition, winning each match via straight sets.

Emory (13-5) closes out the regular season this Saturday against NAIA's Georgia Gwinnett College (21-0), beginning at 12:00 PM at the Woodruff PE Center. Earlier this season, the Eagles and Grizzlies met on the courts in Lawrenceville with GGC claiming the 6-3 decision.
