Emory University freshman Katie Chang of the women's tennis program was named the University Athletic Association Athlete of the Week as announced Monday afternoon by the conference office.

Chang went 3-0 to the win the Conquer singles draw over the weekend at the Wofford Invitational in Spartanburg, SC. She won all three matches via straight sets defeating opponents from Bluefield College, Wofford and Gardner-Webb. Chang added a 2-0 mark in doubles with partner sophomore Elaine Vernoff, defeating a team from BC, 6-4, and a duo from Wofford, 6-3.

The Eagles will return to the courts when the calendar flips to 2018 when Emory hosts Georgia State University on February 10^th to open the spring season.
