    Emory University senior Theresa Ford earned all-America honors and set school records in two events at the 2013 NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin last weekend. Ford was the national runner-up in the heptathlon, accumulating a school-record 4,828 points during the two day event. She led all competitors through the first six events of the heptathlon, building her lead with a first-place finish in the high jump with a school-record height of 1.72 meters, and career-best marks of 14.94 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, 26.11 seconds in the 200-meter dash, and 2:46.40 in the 800-meter run. Also in the heptathlon, Ford recorded marks of 5.49 meters in the long jump, 35.91 meters in the javelin throw, and 9.90 meters in the shot put. She also earned an all-America honor in the individual high jump, finishing fourth by clearing the bar at a height of 1.70 meters. Ford earned 13 points for the Eagles, helping lead the team to a 16th-place finish at the NCAA Championships, the second-best outdoor finish in the program’s history.

    Emory University senior Kaele Leonard earned an all-America honor in the 400-meter dash at the 2013 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin last weekend. Leonard finished seventh in the event with a time of 55.85 seconds in the finals. Her time broke her own school record, set during the preliminaries of the meet, and marked a .49 second improvement on the school-record time and .73 second improvement on her personal-best time entering the meet. Leonard also ran the anchor leg of the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team, which finished 13th with a time of 3:51.58, and the second leg of the 4x100-meter relay team, which finished 16th in a time of 48.45 seconds. Leonard scored two points for the Eagles, helping the team to a 16th-place finish at the NCAA Championships, the second-best outdoor finish in the program’s history.

    Emory University sophomore Electra Korn recorded a career-best time in the 400-meter dash, and helped the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team record a season-best mark. Korn finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.27 seconds, a .4-second improvement on her previous career-best time, and the 28th-fastest mark in Division III this season. She also helped Emory’s 4x400-meter relay record a second-place finish, running the second leg of the relay and helping the squad to a time of 3:49.48, the seventh-best time in Division III this season and the fourth-best mark in school history. Korn will be competing at the 2013 NCAA Championships as a part of Emory’s 4x400-meter relay team next weekend.

    Emory University sophomore Stephanie Crane recorded a career-best time in the 800-meter run, while competing at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday. Crane finished 13th in the event with a time of 2:14.76, the sixth-fastest mark in school history. The time was 1.44 seconds faster than her previous career record, set earlier this season.

    Emory University senior Kaele Leonard recorded a pair of top-five finishes at the Bob Pollock Invitational, hosted by Division I Clemson University, on Saturday. Leonard was the runner-up in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.83 seconds. She also finished fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.82 seconds.

    Emory University sophomore Debora Adjibaba set two new conference records and won all four events she competed in at the 2013 University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, leading the sixth-ranked Eagles to their fourth-straight title. Adjibaba broke her own record in the 100-meter dash, winning the finals with a time of 12.14 seconds, the ninth-fastest mark by a Division III competitor this season. She later won the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.83 seconds, breaking the UAA record she set in the preliminaries a day earlier. The sophomore was also a part of two UAA Championship winning relays, running the anchor leg of the Eagles’ 4x100-meter relay (48.51 seconds) and the first leg of the 4x400-meter relay (3:56.28). Adjibaba totaled 25 of the Eagles’ 209 points during the meet, helping Emory to the eighth UAA Outdoor Championship in the program’s history.

    Emory University senior Theresa Ford won a conference championship, earned five all-conference honors, and scored in each of the seven events she competed in, leading the sixth-ranked Eagles to their fourth-straight University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Track and Field Tile last weekend. Ford totaled 46 points by herself during the meet, which would rank her sixth-place in the team standings, just seven points behind sixth place. She won the long jump with a leap of 5.73 meters, a new UAA record and the second-best mark in school history, in addition to the ninth-best distance by a Division III athlete this season. The senior finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 11.32 meters, the best mark by an Eagle this season, and was the runner up in the high jump as well, clearing the bar at 1.69 meters. She added on all-UAA honors with third-place finishes in both the 100-meter hurdles (15.13 seconds) and the discus throw (36.80 meters), while also scoring in the javelin throw (fourth place, 37.91 meters) and the shot put (sixth place, 10.55 meters), registering season-best marks by an Eagle in both. Ford was the largest contributor to the Eagles’ 209 points scored at the meet, helping Emory to the eighth UAA Outdoor Championship in the program’s history.

    Emory University sophomore Madison Hoeninghausen recorded a career-best mark in the javelin throw at the Mountain Laurel Invitational on Saturday. Her throw of 33.35 meters was good for a second-place finish, and surpassed her previous personal best by over three meters. In addition, it was the fifth-best mark by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season. Hoeninghausen and the Eagles are ranked 10th in the latest USTFCCCA NCAA Division III poll.

    Emory University junior Morgan Monroe recorded the fastest 100-meter hurdle time by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season, while in action at the Auburn War Eagle Invitational on Saturday. Facing mostly NCAA Division I competition, Monroe finished 10th in the event with a time of 14.54 seconds. It was the eighth-fastest mark in school history, and tied for the 10th-fastest time in Division III during the season. Monroe also finished 25th in the 100-meter dash with a season-best time of 12.97 seconds, good for the seventh-fastest mark in the UAA this season. The Eagles are ranked 10th in the latest USTFCCCA NCAA Division III poll.

    Emory University’s Debora Adjibaba broke her own school record in the 200-meter dash at the Furman Blue Shoes Invitational last weekend, one of three top-four finishes at the meet for the sophomore. Adjibaba finished fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.64 seconds, a new program-best mark. The time also ranks as the best this season by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor, and the third-fastest among Division III sprinters. She also ran the anchor leg of the Eagles’ 4x100-meter relay team, which finished second in a time of 47.68 seconds, also third among Division III teams and the best in the UAA in 2013. Adjibaba claimed a third-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.26 seconds, her second-best mark of the season (her top time of 12.24 seconds this year is the ninth-best time in Division III). Adjibaba and the Eagles are the 19th-ranked team in Division III.

    Emory University senior Theresa Ford set personal-best marks in six of the seven events at the Bulldog Heptathlon, en route to breaking the school heptathlon record on Friday and Saturday. Competing against a field of five NCAA Division I competitors, including three from Southeastern Conference (SEC) programs, Ford placed third in the heptathlon with a score of 4,729 points, besting the previous school record of 4,364 points, set by former Eagle Ashley Demarco during the 2006 season. Ford's score also ranked as the second-best among Division III competitors this season. She opened competition with a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.07 seconds, the 27th-best time in Division III this year, and third among University Athletic Association (UAA) competitors. She followed that by tying for first in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.70 meters, just a hundredth of a meter short of the school record in addition to ranking fourth in Division III and first in the UAA in the event this season. Ford then set a personal-best in the shot put, finishing fourth with a toss of 10.19 meters, the eighth-best mark in the UAA in 2013. Rounding out the first day, the senior set a personal-record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.26 seconds, finishing fifth. Her success would continue into the second day, starting with a third-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.42 meters. Ford finished second in the javelin throw with a personal-best mark of 35.87 meters, the second-best throw in the UAA this year. She finished off competition with a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a personal-best time of 2:50.36. Ford and the Eagles are ranked 19th among Division III teams this season.

    Emory University sophomore Stephanie Crane recorded a season-best time by an Eagle in the 1,500-meter run at the Duke Invitational last weekend. Competing against mostly Division I opponents, Crane finished 19th in the event with a time of 4:41.09, the fourth-fastest time in school history and just .39 seconds short of her own school record. The time also ranked as the 16th-fastest mark in Division III this season, and the second-fastest by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor. Crane and the Eagles are currently ranked 19th among NCAA Division III teams.

    Emory University sophomore Katie Wilson set a new career-best mark in the high jump at the Terrier Relays in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Saturday. Wilson finished third in the event after clearing the bar at a height of 1.59 meters. She currently ranks third among University Athletic Association (UAA) competitors and is tied for 43rd among all Division III athletes in the high jump this season. Wilson and the Eagles are currently ranked 19th among NCAA Division III teams.

    Emory University sophomore Debora Adjibaba was a part of three top-five performances by a Division III athlete this season at the Emory Classic on Saturday. Adjibaba set a school record in the 200-meter dash, finishing third in the event with a time of 24.98 seconds, tied for the third-fastest mark by a D-III runner this season. She finished sixth in the finals of the 100-meter dash, after running a time of 12.34 seconds in the preliminaries of the event, tied for the fifth-best mark in Division III during the campaign. Adjibaba also ran the anchor leg of the Eagles’ 4x100-meter relay team, which finished third with a mark of 47.76 seconds, the second-best time in Division III during the year. All three marks also ranked as the best time by a University Athletic Association (UAA) runner this season. Adjibaba totaled 10.5 of the Eagles’161 points at the meet, helping the team to a first-place finish at the Emory Classic.

    Emory University sophomore Elaina Kim won the pole vault at the Emory Classic last weekend. Kim cleared the bar at a career-best height of 3.35 meters, the third-highest mark by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this year, and tied for the 24th-best height in Division III this season. It was also tied for the seventh-best mark in the pole vault in the program’s history. Kim scored 10 of the Eagles’ 161 points at the meet, helping the team to a first-place finish at the Emory Classic.

    Emory University senior Theresa Ford finished first in both the long jump and high jump at the Emory Invitational last weekend. Ford claimed a victory in the high jump by clearing the bar at 1.66 meters, tied for the third-best mark in school history, and the seventh-best by a Division III competitor this year. She won the long jump with a distance of 5.47 meters, the best mark by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season, and ninth among all Division III athletes. Ford added a fifth-place finish in the discus throw with a mark of 36.16 meters, and a 14th-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.93 seconds. She contributed 24 points to Emory’s team total, helping the Eagles finish first out of 19 teams at the meet.

    Emory University senior Kaele Leonard won a pair of events at the Emory Invitational last weekend. Leonard recorded the second-fastest 400-meter dash time in Division III this season, winning the event with a time of 56.62 seconds. The time ranked as the third-fastest in school history. She also ran a leg of the Eagles’ winning 4x400-meter relay team, which recorded a time of 3:54.00, also the second-fastest in Division III this year, and the eighth-best all-time in school history. Leonard contributed 12.5 points to the Eagles’ team total, helping the squad to a first-place finish out of 19 teams.

    Emory University sophomore Debora Adjibaba earned a pair of all-America honors at the 2013 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships last weekend. Individually, Adjibaba placed fifth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.72 seconds in the finals, just a day removed from breaking her own school record in the event with a time of 7.71 seconds in the preliminaries. Adjibaba rounded out the meet by running the third leg of the Eagles’ all-America 4x400-meter relay, which finished seventh with a time of 3:52.11, the second-fastest mark in school history. Adjibaba contributed 4.5 of the Eagles’ 16 points at the meet, helping the team finish tied for ninth, the best indoor finish in the program’s history.

    Emory University senior Theresa Ford claimed all-America finishes in two events at the 2013 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships last weekend, helping the Eagles to a ninth-place finish. On the first day, Ford finished sixth in the long jump with a leap of 5.55 meters, become the second woman in the program’s history to earn the honor in the event. On the second day, she placed fifth in the long jump, breaking her own school by clearing the bar ay a height of 1.69 meters. Ford scored a team-high seven points for the Eagles, helping them finish tied for ninth with 16 total points, the best indoor finish in the program’s history. In addition, she now has three indoor all-America honors for her career, the most ever by an Eagle.

    The Emory University women’s 4x400-meter relay team of freshman Alexandra Aiello, sophomore Electra Korn, sophomore Debora Adjibaba and senior Kaele Leonard recorded the best time by an NCAA Division III relay in the event at the Tufts Last Chance Meet on Saturday. The squad finished first in the event with a time of 3:51.64, seven hundredths of a second better than the next-best Division III team this year. The mark was a 4.53 second improvement on their previous season-best mark, and broke the school record in the event by over three and a half seconds. Aiello, Korn, Adjibaba and Leonard qualified for the 4x400-meter relay at next weekend’s NCAA Championships as the top-seeded relay in the event.

    Emory University sophomore Debora Adjibaba won three events at the 2013 University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Track and Field Championships, leading the Eagles to the conference title. Adjibaba tied the UAA record in the 55-meter dash, winning the event with a mark of 7.19 seconds. She also won the 200-meter dash, recording a time of 25.58 seconds. Adjibaba rounded out the meet as the third-leg of the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team, which clinched the team title for the squad. The relay finished in a time of 3:56.17, the third-fastest mark in school history and ninth in Division III this season. In addition, her unofficial split of 58.42 seconds was the fastest on the team. Adjibaba accounted for 22.5 points during the meet, leading the Eagles to their third UAA Indoor Championship and 10th overall, including the outdoor season.

She also won the high jump for the second-straight season, clearing the bar at a height of 1.66 meters. Ford accounted for 26 points during the meet, helping Emory win its third UAA Indoor Championship and 10th overall, including the outdoor season.

Ford won the long jump with a season-best mark of 5.38 meters, the second-best distance by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season. She also claimed a victory in the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.55 meters. Ford also finished third in the 55-meter hurdles, as her time of 8.69 seconds coverts to the third-best mark by a UAA athlete this season.

    Emory University sophomore Tamara Surtees won the 3,000-meter run at the DePauw Indoor Classic on Saturday. Her time of 10:37.96 was a career-best mark and the fastest by an Eagle this season. In addition, it ranked as the 14th-best mark in the University Athletic Association (UAA) in 2013. Surtees scored 10 points at the meet for Emory, helping the team to a seventh-place finish.

    Emory University senior Theresa Ford set a pair of school records while in action in the pentathlon at the Samford Multi and Invitational. Ford scored 3,187 points in the pentathlon (the 11th-most by a Division III athlete this season), besting the previous school record of 3,021 points, set by former Eagle Katie Sheehan in 2009. In the process, she matched her own school record in the high jump, clearing the bar at a height of 1.68 meters to win the event with the best mark by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season and the fifth-best among all Division III athletes this season. Ford added a third-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 5.30 meters, and career-best marks in each of the 60-meter hurdles (9.79 seconds, 12th place), 800-meter run (2:48.62, 16th place) and the shot put (9.30 meters, ninth place). She finished fourth in the pentathlon at the Samford Multi and Invitational, the best finish by a Division III athlete at the meet.

    Emory University senior Kaele Leonard recorded a pair of top times by a University Athletic Association (UAA) runner this season, while in action at the Tiger Paw Invitational at Clemson University. Leonard finished sixth in the 400-meter run with a time of 57.66 seconds, the best time in the UAA this season, and the third-best time both in school history and among Division III sprinters in 2013. She also ran the anchor leg of the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team, which finished fifth at the meet. The relay time of 3:57.11 ranks sixth in Division III this season, third in school history, and was the best mark in the UAA in 2013.

    Emory University sophomore Stephanie Crane recorded season-best times by an Eagle in the 800-meter run and the mile run during a pair of meets last week. At the Emory Crossplex Invitational on Monday, Crane finished second in the 800-meter run with a mark of 2:15.49. The time was the second-fastest in the program’s history, the fastest raw time in the University Athletic Association (UAA) this season, and 18th-best converted time by a Division III athlete this season. Crane also recorded a time of 5:07.89 in the mile run the Hilton Garden Innvitational on Saturday, the second-best mark in the UAA and 26th-fastest in Division III this season, in addition to being the fourth-fastest mile time. She finished seventh in the event at the meet.

    Emory University senior Theresa Ford recorded the second-best marks by a University Athletic Association (UAA) athlete this season in a pair of field events at the Emory Crossplex Invitational last Monday. Ford finished second in the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.63 meters, the second-best mark in the UAA and tied for the 21st-best by a Division III athlete, in addition to matching the eighth-best high jump in school history. She place fifth in the long jump as well with a distance of 5.33 meters, the second-best mark in the UAA this season and 28th in Division III. Ford also finished 11th in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, recording a time of 9.82 seconds in the preliminaries, the fifth-best time by a conference competitor this year. She accounted for 12 points at the meet, helping the Eagles to a second-place team finish.

Ford won the high jump at the meet after clearing the bar at 1.62 meters, tied for the 14th-best mark in Division III this season, and the best by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor in 2013. She added a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.20 meters and a third-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 9.16 meters. Ford also ran in a pair of events at the meet, finishing 19th in the 60-meter hurdles (10.67 seconds) and 31st in the 800-meter run (2:59.71).

Leonard finished third in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.31 seconds, the fastest by a University Athletic Association (UAA) runner this season. She also finished 39th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.50 seconds, the second-fastest raw time by a UAA athlete this season in the event and a personal-best mark.
