Senior Erica Goldman was named the UAA Women's Outdoor Track Co-Athlete of the Week Monday afternoon, marking the first time this season she has earned the weekly award and third time in her career.
Goldman impressed at the Emory Invitational over the weekend, helping the Eagles to a first place team finish. Goldman dominated the 400m Dash, winning the event in a time of 56.13 and also showcased her speed in the sprint relays, leading the Eagles to top-two finishes in both events. In the 4x100m Relay, Goldman, senior Julia Leventhal, junior Dani Bland and freshman Rebekah Bondi took the top spot at 48.38 while the 4x400m Relay of Goldman, Bland, junior Ariana Newhouse and sophomore Kaitlyn Leonard finished second with a time of 4:02.41.
Goldman's time in the 400m Dash currently ranks first in the UAA and second nationally while both relays are among the fastest in the country so far this outdoor season with the 4x100 currently fourth nationally and the 4x400 ranked sixth among the DIII ranks.
The Eagles return to competition this weekend with the two-day Emory Classic with action from the Woodruff PE Center beginning on Friday, March 30th.
