The Emory University men's golf team, competing in their first tournament of the spring semester, finished in seventh place at the Savannah Invitational in Savannah, GA. The 54-hole tournament was played on the 6,715-yard, par 71 Savannah Country Club course.

The No. 1 ranked Eagles finished the two-day tournament with a score of 876, as they saved their best for last, finishing the third round with a team best 284. A solid first round in which Emory scored 290 was then followed up with a tough second carding a 301 round score. No. 4 ranked Huntingdon College had a come from behind victory to win the tournament title with a three-round score of 852 (290-291-271). No. 15 ranked Christopher Newport finished with a 857 (284-283-290) while No. 2 ranked Methodist University rounded out the podium tallying a 858 (288-290-280).

Freshman Tony Li had a stellar opening to the spring season, registering a team-best 215 (72-74-69) to finish the tournament tied for 13th. Li registered the second most birdies of any golfer over the three-round tournament. Senior Logan Ryan tallied a score of 219 (70-76-73) while fellow senior Max Schwarz registered a 223 (72-80-71) to finish in 21st and 33rd, respectively. Senior Davis Hingtgen improved upon his score round by round finishing the tournament with a score of 224 (77-75-72) that saw him finish in 39th. Sophomore Michael Rosenbloom rounded out scoring for the Eagles registering a score of 226 (78-76-72).

The Eagles look to bounce back this weekend, as they are set to compete at the UAA Championships on March 12-13 at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, FL.
