The Emory University men's golf team defeated the University of Rochester Saturday afternoon in the first round of the UAA Championships. The first round was played on the 6,776-yard, par-72 Conservatory Course at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, FL.
Using a match-play format, the Eagles emerged with a resounding 5-0 victory over the Yellowjackets. Senior Logan Ryan was the only Eagle to make it to the 18th hole narrowly defeating Rochester's Tom Liu by a single stroke on the final hole. Below are the results from the match-play competitions:

- Davis Hingtgen (E) defeated Lewis Raboy (R) 2 & 1
- Michael Rosenbloom (E) defeated Brendan Frain (R) 3 & 2
- Max Schwarz (E) defeated Nishant Datta (R) 3 & 2
The Eagles will face-off against NYU, after they defeated Carnegie Mellon 3-2 in the first round, in the UAA Championship finals tomorrow morning.
