(Swimming) Emory University senior John Petroff earned four all-America honors at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, helping the Eagles to a third-place finish at the meet. Petroff finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 48.28 seconds. He then recorded a second-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, recording a mark of 1:48.92.
(Swimming) Emory University sophomore Bryant Jones recorded NCAA B cut times in two events at the Bulldog Last Chance Meet. In the 400-yard individual medley, Jones finished with a mark of 4:05.55 in the preliminaries, and 4:06.58 in the finals, both good for qualifying marks.
(Swimming) Emory University senior John Petroff recorded a NCAA B cut time in the 100-yard butterfly during the fourth-ranked Eagles dual meet against Auburn University, the fifth-ranked team in Division I. Petroff finished first in the 100 fly with a B cut time of 50.76 seconds.
Emory University senior Nathan Godsman recorded a first-place finish during the Eagles dual meet against NCAA Division I Georgia Tech on Saturday. Godsman finished first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:42.66, his best mark of the season and less than a second off his personal-best time.
(Diving) Emory Universitys Daniel Kolb recorded first-place finishes in each of the two diving events, reaching an NCAA qualifying score in the one-meter dive, while competing during the fourth-ranked Eagles meet against Wingate University and Delta State University. Kolb scored 291 points in the one-meter dive, an NCAA qualifying mark and a season-best score.
(Swimming) Emory Universitys Kevin Yamada recorded three top-two finishes and a NCAA B cut time during the fourth-ranked Eagles dual meet win against the NCAA Division I College of Charleston. Yamada finished second in both the 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard breaststroke recording an NCAA B cut time of 58.26 seconds in the former, and a mark of 2:09.23 in the latter.
(Swimming & Diving) Emory University freshman Peter OBrien recorded seven NCAA qualifying times during the Miami (Ohio) Invitational last weekend. Facing mostly Division I competition, OBrien finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a NCAA B cut time of 2:03.76, following his A cut performance of 2:03.51 in the preliminaries.
Emory Universitys Kevin Yamada was part of two first-place finishes and four top-four performances at the Emory Fall Invitational. Yamada opened the meet with a first-place finish among 96 swimmers in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:57.06. The senior notched his second first-place finish of the meet as the breaststroke leg of the Eagles 400-yard medley relay team, which recorded a mark of 3:30.51.
(Swimming) Emory University junior Mark Bernstein scored six points for Emory during the Eagles meet against the Division I University of Georgia. Bernstein finished third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.82 seconds, his best time in the event this season. He followed that performance with a time of 1:44.20 in the 200-yard freestyle, good for a fourth-place finish.
(Swimming) Emory University senior Tom DiMarco recorded three top-two finishes during the Eagles dual meet against the NCAA Division I University of North Carolina Wilmington. DiMarco won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.96.
(Swimming) Emory University senior John Petroff recorded a NCAA B cut time in the 100-yard butterfly, while helping the Eagles to a win over Division I Davidson College. Petroff finished first in the event in a provisional qualifying time of 51.13 seconds.
(Swimming & Diving) Emory Universitys Peter OBrien recorded a NCAA B cut time in the 200-yard breaststroke while competing at the season-opening Blue/Gold intrasquad last week. OBriens time of 2:08.07 in the 200-yard breaststroke was good for a first-place finish in the event and five-hundredths of a second better than the NCAA B cut mark.
