Men's Swimming & Diving Posts 142-109 Win over SCAD

The Emory University Men's Swimming & Diving team improved to 2-0 on the season, defeating the 2015-16 NAIA National Runners-Up Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) 142-109 on Saturday afternoon at the Madeleine Jude Brown Aquatic Center inside the Woodruff PE Center.

The Eagles registered 31 top-three finishes including 12 first place showings in addition to posting six NCAA "B" Cut times.

Senior Andrew Wilson had two of Emory's six NCAA "B" Cut times, winning the 100 Breast (55.88) and 200 Breast (2:01.71). Also recording NCAA "B" Cut times in event wins were freshman Sage Ono in the 100 Back (50.39), junior Oliver Smith in the 50 Free (20.34), senior Mitchell Cooper in the 400 IM (4:05.76) and the 200 Free Relay of sophomore Trey Kolleck, junior Alexander Hardwick, senior Hayes Burdette-Sapp and Smith (1:22.75).

Adding event wins for the Eagles on Saturday were senior Christian Baker in the 1000 Free (9:30.86) and 200 Fly (1:54.38), Kolleck in the 100 Free (45.98), junior Chandler Vandiford in the 200 Back (1:54.56), Cooper in the 100 Fly (51.42) and the 200 Medley Relay of Cooper, Wilson, Smith and freshman Evan Brock.

The Eagles will be back in action with both the Miami Invitational in Oxford, OH and the SCAD Invitational in Savannah, GA from December 1st-3rd.
