    Junior Marissa Bergh led the Emory women's swimming & diving team with six All-America certificates at the 2016 NCAA Championships and swam the anchor leg in four of the Eagles' five relay National Championship teams: 200, 400, 800 Freestyle and the 400 Medley. The 200 Freestyle Relay team of Bergh, Fiona Muir, Marcela Sanchez-Aizcorbe and Meg Taylor set a new National record in the event with a time of 1:31.42. Bergh also had two individual All-America honors in the 50 Free (6th, 23.20) and 100 Free (8th, 51.53) and was an All-America Honorable Mention in the 200 Free (16th, 1:56.62).

    Sophomore Cindy Cheng was named the Women's Swimmer of the Year as the Emory women's swimming & diving team won its 18th straight UAA Championship. Cheng won individual association championships in the 200 Freestyle (1:49.59 – UAA Record) and 200 Backstroke (1:59.46). Cheng was also part of the UAA Championship relay teams in the 800 Freestyle (7:28.54 – UAA Record) and 400 Freestyle (3:22.71 – UAA Record).

    Sophomore Mara Rosenstock led the Emory divers in both dual meets this past weekend against Sewanee and Georgia Tech. Against Sewanee, Rosenstock took first in both the 1-meter (277.05) and 3-meter (255.90) events. On Saturday against Ga Tech, she placed second in the 1-meter event with a score of 299.40 and was third in the 3-meter with a score of 261.15.

    Senior Ellie Thompson led the Emory women's team in a pair of dual meets over the weekend. Thompson had a pair of first place showings against Sewanee in the 200 IM (2:09.47) and 100 Back (57.60). On Saturday at Georgia Tech, Thompson placed second in the 200 Back (2:04.59) and swam the first leg of the third place 400 Medley Relay team which had a time of 3:52.59.

    Sophomore Julia Wawer led a balanced effort from the Eagles in their pair of victories over two highly ranked Division II programs, Delta St. and West Florida, on Saturday afternoon. Wawer claimed first place in the 500 Free with a time of 5:05.69, added a second place finish in the 200 Free, touching at 1:53.91 and swam the final leg of Emory's 200 Free Relay "B" team that came in fifth with a time of 1:39.94.

    Upton had a terrific individual performance for Emory against Div. II member Florida Southern on Friday evening. She earned a first place finish in all three events she swam to lead the the team. Touched at 10:25.33 in the 1,000 Free, 2:09.26 in the 200 Fly and 5:05.69 in the 500 Free.

    Freshman Fiona Muir had a big weekend for the Eagles at the Miami Invitational. She posted three individual NCAA "B" Cut times in the 50 Free, 100 Fly and 200 Back and was part of five relay teams that also notched NCAA "B" Cut times in the 200 Free, 400 Medley, 200 Medley, 800 Free and 400 Free Relays. Muir was first in the 50 Free (23.14) and tied for second in the 100 Fly (55.30), both times setting new Division III top marks. She added an 11th place finish in the 200 Back (2:03.49). All five relays she was part of finished in the top five with the 400 Free taking first and the 200 Free placing second. Both relay teams posted new top times in the country with the 400 Free relay touching at 3:23.47 and the 200 Free finishing at 1:32.86.

    Sophomore diver Mara Rosenstock led the Eagles at the Emory diving invitational on Saturday, placing second in the 1-meter, 11 dives event with a NCAA qualifying score of 411.95.

    Junior swimmer Annelise Kowalsky had a solid showing against the University of Georgia last Friday evening. She earned a first place finish in the 100 Breast, swimming a NCAA "B" Cut time of 1:04.88. In the 200 Breast, Annelise placed second with a time of 2:23.71 and was fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:09.62. She also swam the second part of Emory's second place 200 Medley Relay team, turning in a 28.95 split while the relay touched with a time 1:44.58.

    Sophomore diver Mara Rosenstock led Emory in both diving events on Friday against the University of Georgia. She nabbed a first place finish in the 3 meter event with a score of 260.63 and followed it up with a score of 262.05 to place third in the 1 meter event.

    Kowalsky led the Emory women in a win over Birmingham Southern on Saturday. She came in first in all three individual events she swam in (100 Breast, 200 IM, 200 Breast). In the 100 and 200 Breast, she registered NCAA "B" Cut times, swimming a 1:05.03 in the 100 and a 2:23.01 in the 200. In the 200 IM, Kowalsky touched the wall at 2:07.70.

    Mara claimed the top spot in both diving events on Saturday against Birmingham Southern. She scored 295.58 to win the 1-meter 6-dives event and posted a score of 266.03 in the 3-meter 6-dives to win it.

    Cindy had two top 3 finishes in both individual events she swam in for Emory in the team's dual meet against Penn State. Cindy won the 100 Back (57.47) and was third in the 500 Free (5:10.57). She added two top 3 finishes in both relay events she was in as well. Cheng swam the first leg of the 200 Medley Relay helping the team to a 2nd place finish with a time of 1:46.34. She swam the third leg for the Eagles in a third place finish in the 400 Free Relay, touching the wall at 3:39.24.
