The No. 11 ranked Emory University volleyball team saw its eight-match winning streak snapped Saturday afternoon, falling in straight sets to No. 14 ranked Berry College at the Woodruff PE Center in Atlanta, GA.

The Vikings were firing on all cylinders as they defeated the Eagles 25-13, 25-17, 25-19 to improve to 22-2 overall. With the defeat, Emory closes out the regular season with a 21-4 record.

Berry hit over .455 in all three sets, ending the match with a .456 attack percentage (41-5—79) compared to the Eagles' .109 percentage due in large part to 20 attack errors (30-20—92). The Vikings were also dominant at the net, collecting 10 total blocks while Emory was held without one.

The Vikings' Molly Bergin topped all players with 14 kills as she hit .824 (14-0—17) for the match. Jazzy Innis tallied nine kills with Peyton Breissinger adding seven. For the Eagles, senior Tara Martin and freshman Lily Martin and Alana Dawson combined for 22 of the team's 30 terminations with the elder Martin posting eight and the two rookies recording seven each. Senior Lauren Bandera corralled a team-high 11 digs while junior Cassie Srb dished out 20 assists.

For her play, Martin was named to the All-Tournament Team. Berry's Innis was named Tournament MVP with Molly Bergin tabbed to the All-Tournament team. Also named to the All-Tournament roster were R-MC's Danielle LaRosa, BSC's Gigi Fields, WLU's Katy Blaya and Hendrix's Avery Stephens.

Emory now heads to Cleveland, OH in hopes to defend its University Athletic Association crown. The second-seeded Eagles will play seventh-seeded Brandeis University in the opening round at 12:00 PM Friday afternoon at Case Western Reserve.
