Men's Soccer Hosts Rochester in Regular Season Finale

The Emory University men's soccer team closes out the 2015 regular season at home against the University of Rochester on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 PM. The Eagles will look for their first UAA win since October 10th while the Yellowjackets have won two of their last three with one victory coming in UAA play against NYU last Friday night.

Coverage

The finale will be broadcasted live on emoryathletics.com following the conclusion of the women's game. The broadcast will be streamed in standard definition with an upgrade to high definition available for a fee of $7.00.

Emory Eagles Notes & Preview

The Eagles will look to end the season on a positive note as they have gone 1-3-1 in the previous five games and have lost two in a row. A win would give Emory three UAA victories and a record of .500 or better in conference play for the sixth consecutive season. The Eagles have already clinched a winning overall record for the 15th straight season. Senior Sebastian Hardington and sophomore Christian Meyer are still tied for the team lead with five goals each. Three of Meyer's total have been of the game-winning variety which ranks him 138th in all of Division III in that category. Senior GK Abe Hannigan is 69th in all of DIII with a 0.837 GAA and Emory is 53rd in the country with a 0.78 GAA. With one more victory, Hannigan moves into a tie for second most all-time with 40 career victories. Classmate Matt Sherr has played more minutes than any Eagle field player this season and is the school's all-time leader with 6,299 minutes played. Sherr has set career highs in goals (3) and points (8) this season.

Rochester Yellowjackets Notes & Preview

The Yellowjackets enter the contest with a winning record at 6-4-5 but sit only 1-2-3 in the UAA. UofR has scored 20 goals so far in 2015 in 15 games are led offensively by Andrew Greenway who has netted five goals for the team. Jeff Greblick has found the back of the net three times on the campaign while three players have registered two goals for the Yellowjackets. Greenway is the lone member of the team that has recorded double-digit points, coming into play with 11 on the season. Redd Brown has played in 14 of the 15 contests, making 13 starts. He is 6-3-5 with a 0.77 GAA and 38 saves for a .776 save percentage. Rochester is coached by Chris Apple. He is 183-53-43 in his 15 seasons with the school.

All-Time Series Record

Emory leads the all-time series with a 15-10-3 record in 28 meetings. The Eagles have never lost to the Yellowjackets at home, owning a 12-0-2 record. Emory is 3-1-1 in the last five meetings including a 1-0 win last season in Atlanta.
