    Sophomore sprinter Daniel Pietsch was crowned the 400m Dash National Champion on Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Championship. Pietsch came-from-behind on the final stretch of the race to edge out Monmouth (Ill.)'s James Wilson by .05 seconds, finishing with a school-record time of 46.92.

    Senior distance runner Lukas Mees shattered the school record in the 3000m Steeplechase on Friday night at the Dr. Keeler Invitational at North Central College. Mees placed fifth in the event with a time of 9:03.27, besting his previous school record of 9:10.58.

    Sophomore hurdler Benjamin Rogin set a new personal-record and season best time for Emory in the 110m Hurdles at the Kentucky Relays with a time of 14.95. He finished eighth in the event but was the top Division III finisher. Rogin added a seventh place (first among DIII) in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 55.87.

    Freshman thrower Zachary Lembersky recorded a personal best distance in the discus this past weekend at 41.61m. His mark earned him first place at the event and represents the second best mark posted among UAA athletes in the event this season.

    Senior Spencer Koh posted personal bests in both the javelin (52.82m) and pole vault (4.45m) this past Saturday at the Berry Field Day Invitational. Koh placed first in the javelin and his mark represented a new Emory season best and was the top mark posted in the UAA this season. In the pole vault, Koh's mark was a new Emory season best and was the fourth best mark in school history. He took third in the event. In track events, Koh also added a 15th place showing in the 100m Dash (11.28) and ran the first leg of the Eagles' 4th place 4x400m Relay (3:28.21).

    Sophomore Daniel Pietsch placed first in the 400m Dash with a time of 48.64 and was fourth in the 200m Dash at 22.00. Pietsch also ran the anchor leg of Emory's fourth place 4x400m Relay that finished with a time of 3:28.21.

    Senior Spencer Koh posted the best Emory mark of the season in the javelin over the weekend at the VertKlasse Meeting. Koh registered a distance of 49.97 to place 19th in the event competing against Division I athletes. Koh also clocked in with a time of 11.37 in the 100m Dash and ran the first leg of Emory's 18th place 4x400 relay which finished with a time of 3:29.59.

    Senior Lukas Mees placed third among against mostly Division I runners in the 3000m Steeplechase at the VertKlasse Meeting this past weekend. His time of 9:18.37 represents the fastest UAA time and third fastest time nationally so far this outdoor season and is the third fastest time ever ran in the event in school history.

    Sophomore Max Brown contributed a pair of first place finishes to help Emory win the Emory Classic this past weekend. Brown placed first in the 1500m Run with a time of 3:58.79 and ran the first leg of the Eagles' first place 4x800 relay team that crossed with a time of 7:51.97.

    Senior Spencer Koh helped the Eagles to a first place team finish at the Emory Classic this past weekend. Koh took first in the pole vault with a mark of 4.00m and ran the first leg Emory's first place 4x400 relay team that finished with a time of 3:21.62. The senior also ran the second leg of the Eagles' third place 4x100 relay (44.36) and placed seventh in the 100m Dash with a time of 11.37.

    Sophomore sprinter Daniel Pietsch won the 400m Dash at the Emory Invitational with a time of 47.80. It was the best UAA time of the weekend and the third-best nationally. Pietsch added a fifth place showing in the 200m Dash with a time of 22.26, which also topped the UAA and ranks 15th in the country.

    Senior thrower Jack Seigel posted the best UAA mark of the opening outdoor weekend in the discus with a distance of 44.56m. It is the second best mark of his career and the sixth best in school history.

    Senior Max Hoberman was crowned the UAA triple jump champion for the second year in a row, posting a mark of 14.40m. He added All-UAA honors in the long jump, placing second at 6.90m. Hoberman rounded out his performance with a sixth place showing in the 200m Dash finals with a time of 22.62. The Emory men were beat out by just two points to Washington University for the UAA title.

    Sophomore Daniel Pietsch won the 400m Dash at the 2016 UAA Indoor Championships for the second straight year and set a new school record in the process, running a time of 47.76. His time also represented a new Division III-leading time. Pietsch added All-UAA honors in the 4x400m Relay as the Emory foursome placed third with a time 3:19.71, second fastest in school history. He also finished fifth in the 200m Dash finals with a time of 22.59.

    Freshman Noah Elm set two new personal bests for Emory on Saturday at the Sewanee Indoor Invitational. He placed second in the 55m Hurdles with a time of 8.42 and tied for sixth in the high jump at 1.75m.

    Sophomore Charlie Hu set a new personal best in the long jump at 6.21m on Saturday at the Sewanee Indoor Invitational and finished second in the event. He added an 8th place showing in the high jump with a mark of 1.70m.

    Sophomore sprinter Daniel Pietsch broke the school record in the 400m Dash over the weekend at the Samford Invitational. He placed 8th in the event with a time of 48.09, breaking the previous record by .38 seconds. His record-breaking time now ranks third in the country and first in the UAA in the event. Pietsch also anchored Emory's 4x400 relay team that placed ninth with a time of 3:25.18.

    Freshman thrower Zachary Lembersky recorded a new personal best in the weight throw this past weekend with a mark of 13.48m. He placed sixth in the event and his mark is the sixth best recorded in the event among UAA athletes this season. The men finished fourth at the meet with 67.50 team points.

    Competing against mostly DI schools, sophomore Max Brown finished fourth in the 1-mile with a new personal best time of 4:15.90. His mark is the fourth best in school history, the 15th fastest DIII time recorded this season and the fastest among UAA runners in the event. Brown also ran the first leg of Emory's third place DMR, finishing with a time of 10:58.72.

    Senior Spencer Koh set a new personal record in the pole vault on Friday with a height of 4.45m. It was the third best mark in school history and the second best mark recorded in the UAA this season. Koh added a 25th place finish in the 60m Dash with a time of 7.21 and ran the first leg of Emory's 4x400 Relay which placed 7th with a time of 3:24.66.

    Sophomore Max Brown had a terrific meet for the Eagles at the Emory Crossplex Invitational on Sunday. Brown took first in the 800m Run Collegiate Division with a time of 1:55.17. He added a second place finish in the 1-mile Collegiate Division with a time of 4:18.06.

    Senior Max Hoberman broke a meet record in the triple jump at the Crossplex Invitational on Sunday with a distance of 14.47m, breaking the previous record of 14.36m. His mark was the sixth-best ever in school history and the third-best mark in Division III this season. Hoberman added an 8th place showing in the 200m Dash Collegiate Division with a time of 22.68.

    Hoberman placed seventh in the triple jump this past weekend at the ETSU Invitational competing against athletes of all divisions. He posted a mark of 14.13m which ranked as the fifth best in DIII this season and the eighth best in school history.

    Pietsch recorded a new personal best in the 400m Dash this weekend at the ETSU Invitational, crossing the finish line at 48.90. His mark was the fourth fastest time in school history in the event and was the fastest mark recorded in DIII so far this season. Pietsch added a 22nd finish in the 200m Dash with a time of 22.43.

    At the BSC Icebreaker on Friday, senior Spencer Koh placed sixth in the pole vault with a height of 4.15m to earn one point for the Eagles. Koh added a 22nd place finish in the 60m dash with a time of 7.16 and was part of the 4x400 relay that finished second with a time of 3:21.76 to pick up 8 points.

    Sophomore Daniel Pietsch had a terrific meet for the Eagles on Friday. He contributed for 18 of Emory's 19 points at the BSC Panther Icebreaker. Pietsch took first in the 400m Dash with a time of 49.07 and later, was part of the 4x400 Relay team that finished second with a time of 3:21.76.
