Emory University junior Gabrielle Clark was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Most Valuable Player, freshman Beatrice Rosen was selected as the conference's Rookie of the Year, and Amy Bryant and Meredith Vincent were named the UAA Coaching Staff of the Year, after leading the Eagles to their 24^th UAA Championship in 26 seasons last week.

In addition, every Emory singles player and doubles team received all-UAA recognition, with Eagles being selected to five of the six spots on the singles first team, and all three doubles first team positions.  Clark (first singles), Rosen (second singles), senior Jordan Wylie (third singles), freshman Madison Gordon (fifth singles) and junior Brenna Kelly (sixth singles) each earned all-UAA First Team selections for singles play, while freshman Marissa Levine (fourth singles) was named to the Second Team.

For doubles play, Clark and freshman Annette Sullivan (first doubles), Gordon and Wylie (second doubles) and Kelly and freshman Emma Taylor (third doubles) were each selected to the first team.

Clark earned her second career UAA Most Valuable Player honor, becoming the fifth multiple-time winner in conference history, and the third Eagle.  Other repeat UAA MVPs include Emory's Jessica Levy (1994 and 1995) and Mary Ellen Gordon (2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004), Carnegie Mellon's Amy Staloch (2006 and 2007) and Chicago's Kendra Higgins (2009 and 2010).  It marked the 14^th time that an Emory player has been named the UAA Women's Tennis Most Valuable Player.

Rosen claimed the Rookie of the Year honor after going a perfect 3-0 in second-singles matches during the tournament.  She is the fourth UAA Rookie of the Year in Emory history, joining Gordon (2001), Jolyn Taylor (2003) and Clark (2011).

The UAA Coaching Staff of the Year Award marked the program's 19^th in its 26 years of UAA competition.  For Bryant, who began coaching the team in 2000, it was her ninth-career UAA honor (2000-04, 2007-08, 2011, 2013), including the last four with Vincent as an assistant.

Emory was dominant as a team during the UAA Championships, as the Eagles failed to drop a match, with 9-0 routs over New York University in the first round, seventh-ranked Chicago in the semifinals, and 13^th-ranked Carnegie Mellon in the championship match. 

Emory, now 13-4 for the season, will wrap up its 2013 regular season at home against Washington and Lee University at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 4^th, and then await the NCAA Championship selection announcement on Monday, May 6^th to determine their early-round location and opponents.
