The Emory University men's golf team concluded play at the NCAA DIII Preview with a sixth place finish in the field of 18 teams. The tournament was played on the 6,694-yard, par-72 Keene Trace Golf Club course.

The No. 2 ranked Eagles had their best round of the tournament in the third round, carding a 297 to bring their three round total to 902 (299-306-297). Emory finished with a tournament-high 162 pars as they proved to be a model of consistency throughout the 54-holes of play. No. 5 Christopher Newport took home the tournament crown as they paced the field by over 14 strokes with a score of 886 (299-294-293) while four teams ended in a deadlock for second place each posting a 900 score. 

Sophomore Michael Burry was the leading scorer for the Eagles at tournament's end, recording a 221 (70-78-73) that saw him finish tied for seventh which marks the highest finish at a tournament in his young collegiate career. Sophomore Josh Qian registered 224 strokes (76-75-73) and a tournament-best 38 pars to tie him up in 13th place. A difficult third round saw junior Jackson Klutznick dip to a 35th place tie having notched a score of 230 (76-74-80). Junior Michael Rosenbloom was rock-solid all tournament long as he tallied a 233 (77-79-77) which saw him knotted up in 51st at the conclusion of 54 holes. Sophomore Tony Li rounded out scoring for the Eagles, registering a 235 (77-84-74) to slot him in a 62nd place tie. 

The Eagles return to the greens next week on Monday, October 10th and Tuesday, October 11th for the 36-hole Piedmont Invitational in Clarkesville, GA.
