Senior Caitlin Fitzgerald hit a team-high .538 in helping the Eagles to a 2-2 mark in four games. Fitzgerald recorded seven hits in 13 plate appearances and tied for the team lead with four RBIs as Emory split doubleheaders against Piedmont College and LaGrange College.
Emory freshman first baseman Ellen Kocoloski helped the Eagles to a UAA Tournament championship, hitting a blistering .577 over eight games. Kocoloski registered a team-high 15 hits in 26 trips to the plate in helping her team to a 6-2 mark and its first conference title since 2003.
Emory senior Caitlin Fitzgerald posted an impressive .500 batting average this past weekend in helping the Eagles to a 3-1 mark at the Chik-Fil-A Classic hosted by Rhodes College.
