    Emory University junior Julie Williamson recorded the second-fastest 800-meter run time in the program’s history at the Georgia Invitational in Athens on Saturday. Williamson finished ninth in the event with a time of 2:12.45, a 1.24-second improvement on her previous career-best mark, and was second in school history only to Katherine Marshall’s program record of 2:11.99, set at the 1990 NCAA Championships. The mark ranked as the 28th-fastest in Division III this season, and the third-fastest in the UAA in 2015.

    Emory University senior Madison Hoeninghausen earned all-conference honors with a second-place finish in the javelin throw at the 2015 University Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday. Hoeninghausen was the runner-up in the event with a career-best throw of 35.67 meters, over a meter improvement on her previous personal-best mark. It marked the first career all-University Athletic Association honor of her career. Hoeninghausen scored eight points for the Eagles to help the squad finish third, marking the team’s 12th-consecutive top-three finish at the meet.

    Emory University senior Hannah Smith won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2015 University Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday. Smith claimed first in the event with a time of 10:57.50, the seventh-fastest in school history and the 16th-fastest by a Division III competitor this year. She became just the third Eagle to break the 11-minute barrier in the event, and her time was 10.23 second improvement on her previous career-best time (and a near 24-second improvement on her career-best mark entering the season). Smith returned the next day to score in the 1,500-meter run, finishing seventh in the event with a career-best time of 4:44.96. Her 12 points scored during the meet helped the Eagles finish third, marking the squad’s 12th-consecutive top-three finish at the meet.

    Emory University senior Stephanie Crane recorded a season-best time in the 800-meter run at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday. Crane finished 32nd in the event with a time of 2:16.36, a .95 second improvement on her previous season-best time. The mark was the sixth-best by a University Athletic Association competitor this year, and ranked 48th among all NCAA Division III runners in 2015.

    Emory University freshman Dara Liss won a pair of events at the Mountain Laurel Invitational in Sewanee, Tennessee on Friday night. Liss finished first in the triple jump with a career-best distance of 9.79 meters, and added a win in the pole vault by clearing the bar at a height of 2.90 meters. Her performances contributed 20 points towards the Eagles’ team total, helping Emory finish second out of seven teams.

    Emory University freshman Kora Dreffs recorded the best mark in the shot put this season by an Eagle at the Catamount Classic in Cullowhee, North Carolina last weekend. Dreffs finished ninth in the event with a career-best throw of 11.35 meters, a .29 meter improvement on her previous best throw. The distance ranks as the second-best in the University Athletic Association this season. She also recorded a career-best mark in the hammer throw, placing 22nd with a distance of 33.43 meters. Dreffs’ performance helped the Eagles place fifth in the team standings at the meet.

    Emory University freshman Erica Goldman ran the fastest 400-meter dash by a University Athletic Association competitor this season, while in action at the Catamount Classic in Cullowhee, North Carolina last weekend. Goldman finished fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.82 seconds, almost a full second faster than any other UAA runner this year, and the 22nd-fastest in Division III this season. She also recorded a season-best time in the 200-meter dash, finishing 17th with a time of 26.61 seconds. Goldman was a part of two Emory relays as well, finishing fifth as the anchor leg of the Eagles’ 4x100-meter relay with a mark of 50.16 seconds (the second-best in the UAA this year) and fifth as the third leg of the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:01.20. Goldman totaled six points for the Eagles, helping the squad finish fifth at the meet.

    Emory University freshman Zoe Fowler recorded a career-best distance in the hammer throw at the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, North Carolina on Saturday. With a field consisting mostly of NCAA Division I competitors, Fowler finished 12th in the event with a throw of 41.86 meters. The mark was a 4.68-meter improvement on her previous career best, and ranks as the second-best throw in the University Athletic Association this season.

    Emory University senior Hannah Smith won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, North Carolina on Friday. Facing mostly NCAA Division I competition in the event, Smith finished in first place with a time of 11:07.73, the 10th-fastest time by a Division III competitor this year, and the second-fastest among University Athletic Association runners. The mark was a 12.14-second improvement on her previous career-best time, set earlier this year.

    Emory University senior Marissa Gogniat won the 5,000-meter run at the Emory Classic on Saturday. Gogniat finished first in the event with a time of 17:59.91, the third-best mark by a University Athletic Association competitor this season and the 13th-best time in Division III in 2015. Gogniat scored 10 points for the Eagles, helping the team finish second out of 24 scoring teams at the Emory Classic.

    Emory University senior Katie Wilson finished first in the high jump at the Emory Classic on Friday. Wilson won the event for the second-straight meet, clearing the bar at a height of 1.59 meters, the best mark by a University Athletic Association competitor this season and the 14th-best height cleared by a Division III athlete in 2015. Wilson’s event win contributed 10 points towards the Eagles’ team total, as Emory finished second out of 24 scoring teams at the meet.

    Emory University junior Julie Williamson turned in a pair of strong performance to open her outdoor season at the Emory Invitational last weekend. On Friday, Williamson anchored Emory’s school-record setting 4x800-meter relay team, which finished second at the meet with a time of 9:14.64. She followed that by finishing third and running a time of 2:14.46 in the individual 800-meter run, giving her the sixth-fastest time in school history in the event, and the third-fastest in Division III this season. Williamson contributed eight points towards the team’s total, helping Emory finish third out of 27 scoring teams at the meet.

    Emory University senior Electra Korn won the conference championship in the 400-meter dash, and claimed all-conference honors in two other events at the 2015 University Athletic Association Indoor Track and Field Championships. Korn won the 400-meter dash for the second-straight season, claiming first place in the event with a time of 57.39 seconds. She also finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.74 seconds, and third in the 60-meter hurdles with a mark of 9.21 seconds, earning all-UAA honors in each event. Korn contributed 24 points towards the Eagles’ team total, as Emory finished third in the team standings at the meet.

    Emory University senior Katie Wilson won the University Athletic Association Championship in the high jump during the 2015 conference indoor track and field championships in Chicago, Illinois last weekend. Wilson won the event by clearing the bar at a height of 1.63 meters, the best mark of her career. It marked the first career UAA Championship in the event for the senior. Wilson’s victory contributed 10 points towards the Eagles’ team total, helping the squad finish third at the meet.

    Emory University junior Alexandra Aiello had season-best marks in four different events at the Tiger Indoor Invitational in Sewanee, Tennessee on Saturday. Aiello finished fifth in the triple jump with a distance of 10.80 meters, the second-best jump by a University Athletic Association competitor this year. She also finished sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.01 meters, the sixth-best jump in the UAA this season. On the track, Aiello added season-best times of 7.53 seconds in the preliminaries of the 55-meter dash (fourth in the UAA), good for a third-place finish, and 27.87 seconds in the 200-meter dash (16th in the UAA) to finish 10th in the race. Aiello totaled 13 points, helping guide the Eagles to a win at the meet.

    Emory University senior Stephanie Crane turned in a pair of solid performances at the Buccaneer Invitational, hosted by East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. Crane recorded the fastest time in the mile run this season by an Eagle, finishing third in the seeded section of the event with a mark of 5:09.33. The time was a near nine-second improvement on her previous season-best, and was the sixth-fastest in the University Athletic Association this year. Crane also finished eighth in the seeded 800-meter run with a time of 2:20.35, also her fastest time of the year in the event and the 11th-best in the UAA.

    Emory University junior Julie Williamson improved on her times in a pair of events this season, while in action at the Hilton Garden Innvitational in Winston-Salem, North Carolina last weekend. In the 800-meter run, Williamson placed 10th in the event with a time of 2:16.60. The mark was the 11th-fastest by an NCAA Division III competitor in the event this season. Williamson also ran the third leg of the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team, which placed eighth at the meet. The relay’s time of 3:56.07 was the second-fastest by a Division III team during the 2014-15 season, and the sixth-fastest time in school history.

    Emory University freshman Zoe Fowler recorded the seventh-best distance in the weight throw in the program’s history at the Emory Crossplex Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday. Fowler finished fifth overall in the event with a career-best mark of 13.38 meters, improving on her previous career-best by 1.82 meters. It was also the third-best throw by a University Athletic Association competitor this season. Her performance earned four points towards the Eagles’ team total, helping Emory finish second at the meet.

    Emory University senior Electra Korn recorded the fastest 400-meter dash and second-fastest 200-meter dash times by an NCAA Division III competitor this season, while in action at the Emory Crossplex Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday. Korn won the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.57 seconds, the second-fastest mark in school history, and the fastest converted time in Division III by over three-tenths of a second. She later finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.18 seconds, also the second-fastest time in the program’s history. In addition, her mark in the event was the fastest raw time by a Division III athlete in the event this year. Korn also competed in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing sixth with a time of 9.29 seconds, a personal-best mark and the 25th-fastest Division III time for the campaign. Korn contributed 18 points towards the Eagles’ team total, helping the squad finish second at the meet.

    Emory University junior Julie Williamson recorded the ninth-fastest 800-meter run time in Division III this season at the East Tennessee State University Invitational in Johnson City, Tennessee last weekend. Williamson’s time of 2:16.22 was a personal-best mark, and was good for the sixth-fastest time in school history in the event. It was also the third-fastest by a University Athletic Association competitor this season. She also finished second in the unseeded mile run with a time of 5:18.49, the seventh-fastest mark in the UAA this year.

    Emory University senior Elaina Kim won the non-Division I section of the pole vault at the Eagles’ season-opening Panther Indoor Icebreaker in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday. Kim cleared the bar at a height of 3.20 meters, tied for the 20th-best mark in Division III this season, to win the event. She scored 10 points towards the Eagles’ team total, helping the Emory women finish first among 22 teams competing at the meet.

    Emory University senior Electra Korn recorded the top 200-meter dash time in Division III this season at the Panther Icebreaker Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday. Korn recorded a time of 25.58 seconds in the event, improving on her previous indoor career-best time by half a second, and finishing second among non-Division I competitors at the meet. She was also the top-Division III finisher in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.96 seconds, the 11th-fastest mark recorded by a D-III runner in the event this season. Korn rounded out the meet with a fifth-place finish in the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.98 seconds. Her performance helped the Emory women finish first among the 22 teams competing at the meet.
