    The dynasty continued in 2015-16 as the Emory University women’s swimming & diving team won its seventh consecutive NCAA Division III Championship and the ninth overall in program history.
  • Emory Swimming Trio Named CoSIDA Academic All-Americans

    Emory University swimmers Elizabeth Aronoff, Marcela Sanchez-Aizcorbe and Hayes Burdette-Sapp have each been chosen as Academic All-Americans as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Aronoff makes her second straight appearance on the Academic All-America First Team while Sanchez-Aizcorbe was named to the Second Team and Burdette-Sapp to the Third Team for the first time in their respective careers.

    Emory University swimmers Elizabeth Aronoff, Marcela Sanchez-Aizcorbe, Hayes Burdette-Sapp and Chandler Lichtefeld have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Team, based on a combination of their athletic and academic achievements during the 2015-16 season and their career as an Eagle.

    Emory University seniors Elizabeth Aronoff and Carolyn Bonfield of the Swimming and Diving Team were each awarded the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, bestowed upon student-athletes who excel academically and athletically, while also serving as leaders in the community.
  • Marissa Bergh, Oliver Smith Garner Final UAA Swimmers of the Week Awards

    Junior Marissa Bergh and sophomore Oliver Smith from the Emory University Swimming & Diving teams were named the final University Athletic Association Swimmers of the Week for the 2015-16 season. Bergh helped lead the Eagles to their seventh consecutive National Champion while Smith helped the Emory to its 13th top-3 finish in program history.
  • NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!! - Emory Wins Seventh Consecutive Women's Swimming & Diving Title

    For the seventh year in a row and the ninth time in program history, the Emory University Women’s Swimming & Diving Team has been crowned National Champions! The Eagles won the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving title with 560 team points, 84 points ahead of second place Kenyon College who finished with 476.
  • Eagles Win Fourth Relay National Championship; Extend NCAA Lead Heading into Final Day

    The Emory University women’s swimming & diving program added another national championship to its’ ledger on Friday evening, winning the 800 Freestyle Relay to bring the Eagles’ three day total to five national titles at the 2016 NCAA Championships. Emory has now won the national title in all four relay events thus far, marking the first time ever in program history the Eagles have won at least four relay national championships at a single NCAA Championship meet.
  • Eagles Remain in First Behind Three National Championships

    The Emory University women’s swimming & diving program had a huge second day at the 2016 NCAA Division III Championships as the team saw two relays and one individual win national championships. At the conclusion of two days of competition, the Eagles are still holding onto the lead with 270 points with Kenyon College right behind them in second place with 268 points.
  • Women's Swimming & Diving in First After Day One; 200 Medley Relay Wins National Championship

    The 200 Medley Relay team claimed the national championship to help the Emory University Women’s Swimming & Diving finish day one of the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships at the top of the leaderboard with 127 team points, leading second place Kenyon College by an eight point margin.
  • Swimming & Diving Gears Up for 2016 NCAA Division III Championships in Greensboro

    30 student-athletes will be representing the Emory University Swimming & Diving programs this weekend at the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. The meet will run from Wednesday, March 16th through Saturday, March 19th and will be held in Greensboro, N.C. at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
  • Mara Rosenstock Named UAA Co-Diver of the Week

    Sophomore diver Mara Rosenstock has been named the University Athletic Assciation Co-Diver of the Week after earning one of the four regional qualifying spots at Grinnell College over the weekend. This marks her third UAA Diver of the Week selection of the season.

    Sophomore Mara Rosenstock and freshman Emma Watson will represent Emory University at the NCAA Region 2 Diving Championships on February 26th and 27th at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.

    Emory University sophomore swimmer Cindy Cheng was named the University Athletic Association Women’s Swimmer of the Week on Monday afternoon. It is the second time this season and third time in her career she has received the honor.
  • Women's Swimming & Diving Crowned UAA Champions for 18th Consecutive Year

    For the 18th straight year the Emory University men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams were crowned University Athletic Association Team Champions as the 29th Annual UAA Championships wrapped up four days of events on Saturday night at the Webster Aquatic Center in Webster, NY. The women finished with 2,015 points, almost 700 points more than second place Washington University with 1,329.5 points. Chicago came in third at 1,319 followed by NYU (1,298), Carnegie Mellon (1,041), Rochester (673.5), Case Western Reserve (630) and Brandeis (331).
  • Swimming & Diving Extend Leads Behind Seven Event Championships on Day Three

    The Emory University swimming & diving teams combined to record another seven event championships, two UAA meet records and 17 All-UAA honors to bring their three day total to 31. Following three days of action both the men and women remain on top of the team standings. For the women, they extended their lead to 409 with a three day total of 1,349 points. Emory’s men’s lead is sizably smaller as the Eagles are in front by just 99.5 with 1,096.5 points entering Saturday.
  • Swimming & Diving Sit Atop Team Standings After Day Two of UAA Championships

    The Emory University men’s and women’s swimming & diving program saw three individual swimmers and two relay teams earn event championships on the second day of competition at the 29th Annual UAA Championships. In total, the Eagles earned a combined 13 All-UAA certificates on Thursday.
  • Schedule Change - Swimming & Diving Will Compete at Queen's College Royal Open this Weekend

    Emory University's swimmers and divers not competing at the UAA Championships were originally supposed to compete at Sewanee on February 19th and 20th. They will now travel to Queen's College in Charlotte, NC for the Royal Open instead.

    A pair of divers kicked off the 29th Annual University Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Championships for the Emory University Eagles on Wednesday evening. Sophomore Mara Rosenstock earned All-UAA honors by placing second in the 1-meter, 11-dives event while freshman Emma Watson finished eighth.

    Senior Ellie Thompson and junior Christian Baker of the Emory University swimming & diving teams were named the UAA Swimmers of the Week on Monday evening. It is the first time this season Thompson has been a recipient of the award while this marks the third time for Baker.

    The Emory University swimming & diving programs wrapped up the dual meet portion of the 2015-16 season against Georgia Tech on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles fell by a score of 152.5-90.5 on the women’s side while the men were defeated 192-45.

    The Emory University swimming & diving teams celebrated Senior Day in style on Friday evening, not losing a single swimming event as both teams cruised to victories over the Sewanee Panthers. The women defeated Sewanee by a score of 133-91 while the men staked claim to a 124-77 win.

    The Emory University swimming & diving programs wrap up the dual meet portion of its 2015-16 season this weekend with a pair of matchups. The Eagles will first host the University of the South on Friday evening at 5:00 PM inside the Madeleine Jude Brown Aquatic Center before traveling across town to face Georgia Tech at 11:00 AM on Saturday morning. Before the meet on Friday, the Eagles will take a moment to honor the 12 graduating members of the 2015-16 senior class.

    Emory University sophomores Oliver Smith and Julia Wawer were named the UAA Swimmers of the Week on Monday afternoon. It is the first time either swimmer has been recognized as an athlete of the week in their respective careers.

    The Emory University women’s swimming & diving team came away with a pair of victories on Saturday afternoon, knocking off two highly ranked Division II schools in West Florida and Delta State while the men’s team earned seven first place wins in their meet but fell short to Delta State 157-137.

    The Emory University swimming and diving teams return to the pool this Saturday with a tri-meet against a pair of Division II squads, Delta State and West Florida. The meet is set to begin at 11:00 am and will be held on the campus of UWF in Pensacola, Fla.
  • Cooper and Upton Earn UAA Athlete of the Week Honors

    Junior Mitchell Cooper and sophomore Rebecca Upton of the Emory University swimming programs were named the University Athletic Association Athletes of the Week as announced by the association on Monday evening. It is the third UAA Athlete of the Week honor for Cooper this season while this marks the first for Upton.
  • Emory Swimming Earns Split with Florida Southern

    The Emory University swimming teams returned to action following the holiday break on Friday evening to a split decision against Division II member Florida Southern. The women ran their dual meet record to 2-2 on the season with a 167-78 victory over the Moccasins while the men fell by a score of 151-94 to drop to 1-3 on the year.
