    (Track & Field) Emory University’s Alex Greenhouse recorded the first automatic qualifying time of the season by an Eagle, while competing at the Gregory Invitational. Greenhouse won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.59 seconds, the second-fastest time in the event in school history.

    Emory University freshman Nelson Nwannunu recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying distance in the triple jump, while competing at the Georgia Invitational on Saturday. Nwannunu’s jump of 14.36 meters in the event was a career-best, and was good for a fifth-place finish in the event. The jump was also the 19th-best this season by a Division III athlete.

    (Track & Field) Emory University’s Alex Greenhouse won two individual titles at the 2010 University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships last weekend. The senior won the 400-meter hurdles with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 54.07 seconds in the finals, after recording a time of 53.24 seconds in the preliminaries.

    (Track & Field) Emory University’s Ben Euwer recorded a career-best distance in the hammer throw, while competing at the War Eagle Invitational at Auburn University last weekend. Euwer threw the hammer 44.03 meters, the best distance by an Eagle since the 2008 season and good for a fifth-place finish.

    (Track) Emory University’s Alex Robin won both the 800-meter run and the 1,500-meter run while competing at the Furman Invitational last weekend. Robin finished first in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.69, his second-fastest time of the year and the third-fastest time in the University Athletic Association (UAA) this season.

    (Track) Emory University senior Paul Winterhalter set a school record in the 10,000-meter run, while competing at the Duke Invitational last weekend. Winterhalter finished third in the event with a time of 31:06.26, breaking former Eagle Phil Hagedorn’s program record, set in 2004, by more than three seconds.

    (Track) Emory University senior Alex Greenhouse won two events and recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying time at the Emory Classic last weekend. Greenhouse finished first in the 400-meter hurdles, improving on his NCAA qualifying mark with a time of 53.09 seconds.

    (Track) Emory University senior Alex Greenhouse earned an NCAA provisional qualifying time in one event, and won another, while competing in his first outdoor track and field meet of the season, the Emory Invitational. Greenhouse recorded a provisional qualifying with a second-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, running a time of 53.25 seconds, the fifth-fastest in school history.

    Senior Steve Dry (Hopkinton, MA), a member of Emory University’s track and field program, is one of four seniors at the school who have been selected as recipients of the Robert T. Jones Jr. Scholarship Award for a year of study at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

    (Track & Field) Emory University senior Paul Winterhalter set a school record in the 3,000-meter run, while competing at the Tiger Tune Up at Clemson University on Saturday. Winterhalter recorded a time of 8:38.12 in the event, besting the previous school record by two seconds.

    (Track & Field) Emory University senior Alex Greenhouse set a school record in the 200-meter dash and recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 400-meter dash, while competing at the Valentine Invitational at Boston University on Saturday. Greenhouse finished 16th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.01 seconds, .02 seconds better than the previous Emory record and the fastest by a UAA runner this season.

    Emory University freshman Nelson Nwannunu recorded a trio of second-place finishes in the jump events at the Sewanee Tiger Indoor Invitational last weekend. Nwannunu set a season-best distance by an Eagle in the triple jump, recording a mark of 13.82 meters, the second-best jump by a UAA athlete this season.

    Emory University freshman Stephen Ellwood was the Eagles’ top finisher in two events at the Clemson Games last weekend. Ellwood finished third in the mile run with a time of 4:23.06, the fastest by an Eagle this season and the fourth-fastest time in the UAA entering the weekend.

    (Track) Emory University’s Alex Greenhouse was the Eagles’ top finisher in three events at the Niswonger Invitational last weekend. Facing mostly NCAA Division I competition, Greenhouse finished 18th out of 131 runners in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.40 seconds.

    (Track & Field) Emory University senior Tyler Faits recorded a pair of top-four finishes while competing at the Appalachian Open. Faits finished fourth in the 400-meter dash, recording a time of 51.25 seconds. He later ran the anchor leg of the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team, helping the squad to a third-place finish with a time of 3:28.77.
