    Emory University junior William Matheson recorded a career-best time in the 800-meter run at the Gregory Invitational last weekend, his final meet of the 2013 season. Matheson finished 22nd in the event with a time of 1:55.61, besting his previous career-best time, set earlier in the season, by .55 seconds.

    Emory University junior William Matheson recorded a time of 1:56.18 in the 800-meter run at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday. Matheson’s time was good for a 30th-place finish in the event at the meet. It was also just two hundredths of a second short of his season-best time.

    Emory University junior Mike Moserowitz recorded a career-best mark in the long jump, despite competing through the rain at the Bob Pollock Invitational at Clemson University. Moserowitz finished third in the event with a jump of 6.79 meters. The mark surpassed his previous career-best by three-hundredths of a meter, and was the top jump this season by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor.

    Emory University junior Mike Moserowitz won the conference title in the triple jump at the 2013 University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships in New York, NY last weekend. Moserowitz won the triple jump with a leap of 13.80 meters, the best mark this season by an Eagle. He added an all-UAA finish as the second leg of the Eagles’ 4x100-meter relay, which finished second in a time of 43.61 seconds, also the squad’s season-best mark. Moserowitz also scored with fifth-place finishes in the long jump (6.40 meters) and as the third leg of the 4x400-meter relay (3:25.07). He accounted for 17 of the Eagles’ 112 points, helping Emory to a fourth-place finish at the meet.

    Emory University freshman Adam Rabushka won the conference championship in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2013 University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships. Rabushka won the event with a career-best time of 54.77 seconds in the finals. He also recorded a career-best time of 15.74 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing fourth overall in the event. The freshman wrapped up the meet as the second leg of the Eagles’ fifth-place 4x400-meter relay team, which crossed the line in a time of 3:25.07. Rabushka accounted for 16 points during the meet, helping the Eagles finish in fourth place in the team standings.

    Emory University freshman Taylor Jarl was the team’s top finisher in a pair of events at the Mountain Laurel Invitational in Sewanee, Tennessee last Saturday. Jarl won the shot put with a throw of 12.52 meters, a season-best mark by an Eagle and the ninth-best distance in the University Athletic Association (UAA) in 2013. He was also Emory’s highest finisher in the hammer throw, claiming fourth-place with a distance of 31.74 meters.

    Emory University freshman Adam Rabushka recorded the top 400-meter hurdles time by a University Athletic Association (UAA) runner this season, while in action at the Furman Blue Shoes Invitational last Saturday. Rabushka finished third in the event with a time of 55.85 seconds, besting his previous season-best time by .25 seconds. He also finished third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.23 seconds, just .09 seconds off his season-best time.

    Emory University freshman Adam Rabushka recorded a pair of strong performances in the hurdle events at the Terrier Relays in Spartanburg, South Carolina last Saturday. Rabushka was the top Division III finisher in the 400-meter hurdles, placing third overall in the event with a time of 56.44 seconds. In the 110-meter hurdles, he recorded a ninth-place finish with a time of 16.59 seconds. Rabushka holds the top time among University Athletic Association (UAA) competitors in the 400-meter hurdles this season, and the fifth-best mark in the conference in the 110-meter hurdles.

    Emory University freshman Jacob Seigel was the Eagles' top finisher in two throwing events at the Terrier Relays in Spartanburg, South Carolina last weekend. Seigel was the top Division III finisher and seventh overall in the discus throw, recording a distance of 44.02 meters, tied for the seventh-best mark in the event in school history. The throw also ranks third among University Athletic Association (UAA) competitors this season. He was the top Division III finisher in the shot put as well, recording a throw of 12.18 meters to place 16th overall.

    Emory University senior Stephen Ellwood recorded the best time this season by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor in the 1,500-meter run at the Emory Classic last Saturday. Ellwood finished fourth overall in the event with a time of 3:58.68. The time also ranked as the 13th-best by a Division III athlete this season. Ellwood scored five of the team’s 91 points, helping the Eagles to a fifth-place finish at the meet.

    Emory University freshman Young Jin Kim won the pole vault at the Emory Classic last Saturday. Kim claimed a victory in the event after clearing the bar at a career-best height of 4.10 meters. The mark was the seventh-best this season by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor, and gave the Eagles one of their three event victories at the meet. Kim scored 10 points of the Eagles’ 91 points, helping the team to a fifth-place finish at the meet.

    Emory University sophomore James Bassen won the javelin throw at the Emory Invitational last weekend. Bassen’s mark of 58.11 meters in the event was not only good for a first-place finish, but was also his personal-best throw in the event, and the fourth-best mark in school history. In addition, it ranks as the 18th-best throw by a Division III competitor this year. Bassen also added a 17th-place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 30.82 meters. He scored 10 points at the meet, helping Emory finish sixth out of 19 squads.

    Emory University freshman Maxwell Hoberman was Emory’s top finisher in two events at the Emory Invitational last weekend. Hoberman finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.38 seconds, the fastest mark this season by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor. He also claimed a 13th-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.05 seconds, second among all UAA runners this year. Hoberman rounded out the meet by running the anchor leg of the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay, which finished fifth with a time of 3:24.85. The freshman accounted for seven points for Emory, helping the team to a sixth-place finish out of 19 teams.

    Emory University junior Mike Moserowitz claimed a pair of conference titles during the 2013 University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Track and Field Championships. Moserowitz won the long jump on the first day of the meet with a leap of 6.54 meters. He followed that performance with a triple jump of 13.69 meters on the second day to claim a victory in that event as well. Moserowitz also ran the anchor leg on the Eagles’ all-UAA 4x400-meter relay team, helping the squad finish third with a time of 3:27.14, and ran the 400-meter leg on Emory’s fifth place distance medley relay team (10:30.27). He scored 20 of the Eagles’ 69 points during the meet, helping Emory finish fourth at the UAA Championships.

    Emory University sophomore James Bassen finished third in the weight throw at the Sewanee Indoor Invitational last weekend. Bassen claimed the third-place finish with a career-best throw of 12.44 meters in the event, the best mark by an Eagle this season and the 11th-best mark by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor. He also finished 11th in the shot put with a throw of 11.00 meters.

    Emory University junior Samuel Jean-Baptiste won the 55-meter dash at the Sewanee Indoor Invitational last weekend. Jean-Baptiste won the event with a time of 6.65 seconds, which converts to the fastest 60-meter dash time this season by an Eagle, and the fifth-fastest mark among University Athletic Association (UAA) competitors.

    Emory University junior Edward Mulder set the school record in the 3,000-meter run with the fastest time by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season at the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, South Carolina. Competing against mostly higher-NCAA Division and NAIA opponents, Mulder finished fifth in the event with a time of 8:37.77. The mark surpassed the previous Emory record of 8:38.12, set by former Eagle Paul Winterhalter in 2010.

Kim finished fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.10 meters, the best by an Eagle this season and 11th among University Athletic Association (UAA) competitors. He scored five points for the Eagles, helping the team to a second-place finish at the meet.

    Emory University freshman Adam Rabushka registered a season-best time by an Eagle in the 60-meter hurdles at the Emory Crossplex Invitational last Monday. Rabushka finished third in the finals of the event with a time of 8.96 seconds, the fourth-best time by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season. He also finished 21st in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.14 seconds. Rabushka scored six points for the Eagles, helping the team to a second-place finish at the meet.

    Emory University freshman Maxwell Hoberman recorded a personal-best distance in the triple jump at the Niswonger Invitational last weekend. Hoberman finished seventh overall in the event at the meet with a jump of 13.82 meters, the 21st-best mark by a Division III athlete this season, and the best by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor. He added a 49th-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.46 seconds.

    Emory University junior Edward Mulder recorded the fastest time in the 5,000-meter run by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season at the Niswonger Invitational last weekend. Mulder finished fourth in the seeded section of the event at the meet with a time of 15:02.11. The time converted to the 15th-fastest mark among NCAA Division III runners this season.

    Emory University sophomore James Bassen set a new personal best in the weight throw at the Panther Ice Breaker, the first meet of the 2012-13 Indoor Track and Field season for the Eagles. Bassen recorded a distance of 12.26 meters in the weight throw, topping his previous career-best mark by nearly two meters and finishing 20th overall in the event at the meet.

    Emory University sophomore Ankush Mohile recorded a career-best time in the 60-meter hurdles at the team’s first meet of the 2012-13 Indoor Track and Field season, the Panther Ice Breaker. Mohile’s time of 8.98 seconds was .12 seconds better than his previous career-best mark, and good for an eighth-place finish in the event at the meet.
