Junior Austin Claunch keyed an Emory win over No. 14 Rochester on Saturday, boosting the team’s record to 20-5, the first 20-win campaign for the Eagles since 1989-90. Claunch totaled a team-high 24 points, dished out nine assists, grabbed nine rebounds and contributed four steals in the 83-72 win over the Yellowjackets.
Freshman Jake Davis averaged a team-high 19.5 points and was second on the team with a 9.0 per-game effort in rebounding as the Eagles split a pair of UAA road contests.
Senior Julien Williams averaged 18.5 points and a team-high 8.0 rebounds in helping the Eagles to home wins over Washington University and the University of Chicago.

In addition, he connected on 61.9 percent from the floor (13-of-21) and knocked down all 10 of his free throw opportunities as Emory raised its overall record to 5-0.
Junior Alex Gulotta registered three double-figure scoring contests, recorded back-to-back games of career-high scoring efforts, and tied a single-game school record along the way in helping the Eagles to wins in each of their first three games, the program’s first 3-0 start since 2004-05.
