Sophomore setter Natalie Schonefeld totaled 28 assists and was second high on the squad with seven kills against Trinity University in NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament action. In addition to those totals, she contributed three digs and a pair of block assists.
Sophomore Jessica McAlvany helped the No. 4-ranked Eagles to a 4-0 record last weekend as the squad captured the Emory Halloween Tournament. McAlvany played in 10 of the teams 13 sets and paced the team with 50 kills (5.00 kps) while hitting 45.5 percent (50-1088).
Sophomore Jessica McAlvany helped the No. 4-ranked Eagles' volleyball squad to a pair of wins last Thursday (Oct. 22). Jessica played in all eight sets and chalked up a 27.9 attack percentage (29-1068) and averaged 2.87 digs per set. She also finished with three service aces and four (3-1) total blocks as Emory topped Lee University and Division II foe USC-Aiken by 3-1 scores.
Sophomore Amelia McCall helped the Eagles' volleyball team to a 3-1 mark last weekend at the UAA Round Robin II. McCall played in all 13 of the team's sets and averaged 2.08 kills per game in helping raise the squad's mark to 24-5 on the year.
Freshman Breanah Bourque helped the No. 3-ranked Eagles volleyball team to a 2-1 mark last weekend. Playing in 12 out of a possible 14 sets, the 5-foot-11 middle hitter averaged 2.25 kills, 1.17 digs, 0.50 blocks and hit 37.7 percent.
Sophomore libero Brannan ONeill led a strong defensive effort this past weekend in helping the Eagles to a 3-0 mark at the UAA Round Robin I. ONeill played in all 10 sets and averaged a team-high 4.60 digs per set that helped Emory hold its opponents to just a 16.4 hitting percentage.
Sophomore outside hitter Jessica McAlvany helped the No. 3-ranked Eagles to a 5-0 mark last week with her offensive and defensive play. The 6-foot-1 McAlvany led all players with 12 kills and a 64.7 hitting percentage (12-117) in a 3-0 victory over Division II member Alabama-Huntsville on Tuesday, Sept. 22. She then earned MVP honors at the Emory Tournament over the weekend,
Sophomore middle blocker Alexandra Wright turned in a pair of big outings in helping the No. 2-ranked Eagles to a split of two matches. The 5-foot-10 Wright posted an attack percentage of 50 percent in the two outings (22-240) while coming up with six blocks.
Senior Alysse Meyer helped the Eagles' volleyball team to a 3-1 record at the Washington & Lee Tournament. The 6-foot Meyer played in 13 of 14 sets and averaged 2.69 kills while recording a 30.2 hitting percentage
Sophomore Jessica McAlvany turned in a big week in helping the No. 1 Eagles' volleyball team to a 5-0 record. McAlvany averaged a team-best 3.8 kills per set and posted a 35.8 attack percentage as Emory opened the campaign with a win over West Georgia before rattling off four victories at the Emory Classic.
