    (Track & Field) Emory University senior Xavier Fowler recorded a career-best distance in the triple jump at the North Central College Gregory Invitational last week. Fowler’s jump of 14.44 meters was the third-longest by an Eagle this season, and good for a third-place finish at the meet.

    (Track & Field) Emory University junior Stephen Ellwood recorded a school-record in the 1,500-meter run at the Dr. Keeler Invitational on Friday. Elwood’s time of 3:52.39 was good for a eighth-place finish at the meet, in addition to being the 19th-best mark by a Division III athlete this season.

    (Track & Field) Emory University junior Isaac Chambers finished 15th in the 400-meter run at the Bob Pollock Invitational on Saturday. Chambers recorded a time of 50.84 seconds in the event, his second-best time of the season, and the seventh-best mark by an Eagle in 2012.

    (Track & Field) Emory University senior Ian Francis won three conference titles for the Eagles at the 2012 University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships in Pittsburgh, PA last weekend. Francis won the long jump on the first day with a career-best leap of 7.10 meters, the seventh-longest mark in school history and the 21st-best mark in Division III this season.

Ellwood’s time of 3:55.99 ranks as the third-best mark among University Athletic Association (UAA) runners this season and the 30th-best time in Division III.

Silva finished 14th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.03 seconds, the best time of the season by an Eagle, and the third-best time by a UAA runner this year.

    (Track & Field) Emory University senior Ian Francis won the triple jump at the Auburn Tiger Classic last weekend. Francis recorded a distance of 14.78 meters to win the event, the third-best mark in school history and fourth-best among all Division III competitors this season.

Francis won the triple jump with a UAA record distance of 14.87 meters, breaking the previous record of 14.72 meters set in 1994.

Ellwood’s time of 4:21.52 was good for a 12th-place finish at the meet, ranking eighth among all University Athletic Association (UAA) runners this season and 10th in school history.

Francis’ triple jump of 14.11 meters, good for a ninth-place finish at the meet, was the 18th-best by a Division III athlete this season and the sixth-best mark in school history.

    (Track & Field) Emory University senior thrower Ben Euwer set the school record in the shot put, en route to winning the event at the Tiger Indoor Invitational in Sewanee, TN on Saturday. Euwer broke the record with a throw of 14.49 meters, besting the previous program record of 14.41 meters set by Josh Heiber in 2004.

Francis finished fourth in the event with a jump of 14.04 meters, the 17th-best among all Division III athletes this season and the eighth-best mark in Emory history.

He won the long jump with a leap of 6.81 meters, the longest mark by a University Athletic Association (UAA) competitor this season.

    (Track & Field) Emory University freshman Zach Fuller finished fifth in the 800-meter run at the Birmingham Ice Breaker on Thursday. Competing in his first collegiate meet, his time of 2:02.56 was the best among Division III competitors in the event. Fuller’s mark was also the best by a University Athletic Association (UAA) runner this season.

    (Track & Field) Emory University junior Isaac Chambers set a school record in the 500-meter dash during the Orange and Purple Classic on Saturday. Chambers broke his own program-best mark in the event with a time of 1:07.51, finishing 15th overall among a field of mostly NCAA Division I competitors. He also ran the leadoff leg of the Eagles’ 4x400-meter relay team, which finished seventh in a time of 3:35.92.
