Emory Eagles
Emory, which received votes in Tuesday's American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/ Collegiate Baseball poll, will begin the weekend series with an overall record of 15-7, including a 5-0 mark at home during the campaign.  The Eagles are batting .311 as a team and have scored 190 runs in 22 games this season, good for an average of 8.6 runs per game.  The team's pitching staff has a 3.81 ERA, and has held opposing hitters to a .275 batting average.

Emory is led by Mike Twardoski, who is in his 15th season as a head coach, all of which have been spent at the Eagles' helm.  Twardoski has a career 426-203-1 ledger since taking over the position prior to the 2000 season, and has led the Eagles to eight UAA Championships and seven NCAA Tournament appearances, including three trips to the World Series and a second-place finish at the 2007 NCAA Championships.  He is assisted by Associate Coach Bobby Perez and Pitching Coach Connor McGuiness, along with former major league reliever Greg McMichael.

DePauw Tigers
The Tigers will come to Atlanta with an overall record of 2-4, including a 0-4 mark away from home this season.  After opening the season with four-straight losses (two apiece to Anderson College and Hanover College), DePauw bounced back with a sweep of a doubleheader at home against Manchester College on Tuesday, winning 9-5 and 6-4, each in seven innings.  The team is batting .267 through its first six games of the season and averaging 4.8 runs per game, while the pitching staff has a 5.28 ERA with .318 opponents' batting average.

DePauw is led by Head Coach Jake Martin, who is now in his fifth season at the team's helm, recording a 98-79 cumulative record.  He is assisted by Matt Pustay and Adrian Norris.

Matchup History
Emory is 11-5 all-time against DePauw, including an 11-4 mark all-time in games played at Chappell Park.  The last meeting between the two teams was the lone contest in the series that has been held on neutral territory, with DePauw defeating Emory 2-0 in Millington, Tennessee in the opening game of the 2012 NCAA Division III Baseball Championships.  The Eagles were held to four hits in the contest, including doubles from current Eagles Brett Lake and Ryan Toscano, and a single from Wes Peacock.
